When Ryan was in graduate school at Oregon State University, he started a blog with ‘The Cnidae Gritty’ as the title. The rhyme is weak depending on how you pronounce ‘cnidae’, but perfection isn’t the goal, here. Communicating science informally and in recognition of all the gritty details and imperfections is the whole point.
